Yabancılara Türkçe Öğretiminde Müziğin Yeri: Bir Horon Örneği

Abstract

One of the important elements in language learning is music. The melody value that emerges when the language meets the rhythm of the instruments can be considered as one of the reasons for learning that language for many language learners. In addition to the impressiveness of music, it is also important for the mental processes of the language to work, the development of the vocabulary, the strengthening of the foundations of syntax, making learning about the learned language enjoyable, etc. has many effects. In addition, music contributes to language teaching with its melodies, instruments used, and the cultural elements it contains. In this study, İsmail TÜRİT's folk song, Karadeniz'e Doğru, which is included in the album Piryoz - Kıyı Türküleri (2003), can be evaluated in the horon music class, is handled by the scanning model. The words of Horon were written down and document analysis was carried out on it. Findings were determined by the content analysis method. It has been seen that the examined horon has a rich content in terms of material and spiritual cultural elements, national values , and language elements in terms of idioms. His mobility, speed, cheerfulness, etc. It has been concluded that there will be positive results regarding the use of horons, which attract the attention of those who are interested in Turkish culture and foreigners learning Turkish in terms of many factors, in teaching Turkish to foreigners.
